HFD Training Information
The mission of the Honesdale Fire Department is to
provide preventive education, fire, rescue, and
emergency services with the utmost competence, safety
and professionalism, while insuring the well-being and
preparedness of all members of the Department.
Proper training
is the foundation on which all successful fire departments are
based
Honesdale Fire Department encourages
all associated Companies to maintain active Company training schedules.
Information about individual company training can be found in
the sections concerning each company.
HFD maintains a Department
Training Center on the Bucks Cove Road consisting of a ladder
tower, smoke building, burn building, spill fire pit, and vehicle
fire area. A drafting site is available from the adjacent river.
Upcoming Department Training:
- CPR Training Including
AED
- Saturday February 25th. Alert
Fire Hall attend either one of two sessions
- 10:00 A.M. or 1:30 P.M.
- Please supply Chief with
list of thise attending not later than Monday 2/20
- All members are encouraged
to take this training.
