Honesdale Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in a single family home on Ridge Street in Honesdale at about 1:20 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2007. On arrival the fire department found heavy smoke pouring from all areas of the home. The structure was ventilated and the initial attack was made into the basement where the fire was believed to have originated. The fire was mostly confined to that area of the home but there was extensive smoke and heat damage throughout the first and second floor areas. All HFD fire units were involved in the operation. Seelyville and White Mills stood by in their stations during the incident.
