View shows the left side of the chassis and pump. The color used to repaint the engine was matched from small areas of original color found under layers of newer paint. Gilding was restored by Stephen Heaver, Jr. from the Fire Museum of Maryland using old photos and drawings of remnants of original gilding found under newer paint.
